Ever looked at a handmade mug and thought, “I’d love to have a go at making that”? This is your sign to finally try it!

This relaxed 2.5-hour workshop for two is designed specifically for complete beginners. Located just outside Ludlow, it’s all about getting your hands messy, trying something new, and having fun together. No experience, natural talent, or artistic confidence required—just bring your curiosity and some old clothes you don't mind getting a bit dusty.

What we'll cover:

  • Wheel Throwing: Learn the basics of centering clay and shaping your very own pot on the potter’s wheel.

  • Handbuilding: Explore foundational techniques—like pinch pots and slab building—to sculpt forms by hand.

You'll be guided step-by-step through both methods to get a real feel for how clay moves. By the end of the session, you’ll each pick two of your favourite pieces to be professionally glazed and fired, ready to collect later and proudly use at home.
