The Beauty of the Handmade Process

Every piece at Ceramics by Nina is individually wheel-thrown and hand-painted in my South Shropshire studio. Because our work is created by hand rather than a machine, please note the following:

  • Natural Variations: Small "imperfections" in shape, height, and glaze consistency are a deliberate part of the artisanal process. These are not flaws; they are the marks of the maker and ensure your piece is entirely one-of-a-kind.

  • Colour & Glaze: While I strive to photograph the collections in natural light to provide an accurate representation, glaze colours may vary slightly depending on the lighting in your home and the specific "atmosphere" of the kiln during firing.

  • Botanical Motifs: As each sunflower and bee is painted by hand without the use of transfers or stencils, the placement and detail of motifs will vary slightly between pieces.

  • Dimensions: All listed measurements are approximate. Please allow for a small margin of variation in height and diameter across our hand-thrown collections.

By purchasing a piece of Ceramics by Nina, you are supporting slow-craft and embracing the unique character that only handmade pottery can offer.

Shropshire

Inspired by the quiet beauty of our local landscapes, my work serves as a gentle invitation to slow down and reconnect. I draw from the textures of the earth and the soft light of the seasons to create work that feels both timeless and deeply personal. By blending a sense of rustic nostalgia with a commitment to lasting quality, my handcrafted ceramics are designed to be more than just decor—they're soulful companions for your daily rituals, bringing the grounding essence of the natural world into the heart of your home.
