🔨 Made to Order - Handcrafted on the wheel in 6-8 weeks

Capture every note of your favourite roast Did you know that up to 80% of what we perceive as "flavour" actually comes from our sense of smell? When you drink coffee from a standard mug, those incredible, complex aromas escape into the room before you even take a sip. I specifically hand-threw these cups on the wheel with a subtle inward curve to change that. The tapered walls trap the hot, aromatic steam, channeling those rich, chocolatey, or fruity roasted notes directly to your nose with every sip to elevate your morning caffeine ritual.

Deep, ocean-inspired tones Our Rich Sea Blue glaze features stunning, fluid depths inspired by coastal tides and deep water. As you hold the comforting weight of the high-fired Shropshire cup in your hands, the smooth, glazed rim directs the coffee smoothly across your tongue to balance acidity and bring out the bean's natural sweetness. It’s an absolute dream for pour-overs, specialty filter coffees, and crisp long blacks.

The Details:

  • Designed For: Specialty pour-overs, long blacks, and rich filter coffee.

  • Material: Durable, heat-retaining clay; food-safe and lead-free.

  • Glaze Finish: Rich Sea Blue with glossy, organic tonal shifts.

  • Size: Approx. 7 cm | Holds approx. 6floz.

  • Care: Gentle hand-washing keeps handmade ceramics looking their best.

One-of-a-kind beauty: Because each cup is individually thrown on the wheel and glazed by hand, no two are ever completely identical. Yours will feature its own subtle variations in shape and glaze movement, making it a completely unique piece of pottery made just for you.

A gentle note on our small-batch process: Because I work in very small, intentional batches, there may be times when an item is out of stock; if so, I will happily hand-craft your piece to order, a slow-made process that typically takes between 6 to 8 weeks from the wheel to the kiln.

FAQs

Yes, unless otherwise stated the item is dishwasher safe, however to preserve the finish and help improve the longevity of your pottery, I recommend washing it by hand wherever possible.

Overtime dishwashers can cause additional wear on ceramics, especially with intricate glazes or decorations.

In particular circumstances where a lower fire clay is used, this is clear in the description of the item and while still may 'survive' a dishwasher it will effect the glaze/colours quicker.

want you to love your ceramics as much as I loved making them. However, I understand that sometimes things don't go as planned.

In the Unlikely Event of Breakages; While I pride myself on my robust, plastic-free packaging, the journey of a ceramic piece can occasionally be a bumpy one. If your item arrives damaged:

  1. Please take a photo of the broken item and the packaging it arrived in immediately.

  2. Email me at nina@ceramicsbynina.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and the photos attached.

  3. Replacement or Refund: We will either send out a replacement (subject to availability in our current small-batch stock) or issue a full refund including your original shipping costs.

Please note: As every piece is unique and hand-thrown, replacement items may have slight variations in shape or hand-painted detail compared to the original.

If your order is for a specific date please contact me ahead of ordering and we can arrange a timed and trackable delivery. This will be at an additional cost.
