Soap/Spoon Rests

I started to make these soap dishes because I love to have handmade essential oils soap at home - they always make the room smell better and I was really tired of the dull and boring dishes that you see everywhere. 

So I made these, each one is hand thrown on my pottery wheel using white clay. Once they are almost dry I use a small wooden stamp to add a design into the middle of the clay. As with all of my work, these stamps connect with the nature around me and also make me smile. 

Each dish is finished with a clear top glaze making it glossy and food safe. 

Each rest is approx 10cm wide - because they are all made individually the sizes will vary slightly. 

What started out as a soap dish has evolved into something that's great for a spoon rest in the kitchen, keys or loose change to live in, one has even become a treat bowl for someones cat.

Each dish is made to order so please allow max 8 weeks for delivery.
