Evening Sky Coffee Cup

There's something wonderful that happens when we use a cup made entirely by hand.

Our brain recognises the care, time, and human touch that went into spinning this clay on the wheel, it automatically primes your senses to slow down and appreciate what's inside. It transforms a rushed morning caffeine hit into a deliberate, beautiful ritual.

I intentionally designed this 'V' shape with a flared rim to help the intense heat of pour-over filter coffee, a rich Americano, or a delicate herbal tea drop quickly to the perfect drinking temperature. The wide top naturally directs the liquid across your palate to highlight the natural sweetness of the brew, softening any bitter notes before you even take your first proper gulp.

The deep glaze on this cup is inspired by a quiet, starlit evening sky in the South Shropshire countryside. As the glaze reacts to the intense heat of the kiln, it creates beautiful, deep midnight tones with subtle shifts that catch the light, reminiscent of the first stars appearing at dusk. It is an absolute tactile joy to hold while you take a quiet five minutes for yourself at the start or end of a busy day.
