 Holding a mug with a dedicated pedestal base brings a wonderful feeling of structure to your hands. The deliberate, hand-trimmed foot gives the piece a reassuring weight, lifting the hot clay away from delicate furniture while holding the warmth right where it belongs—inside your drink. Hand-thrown from rich earthenware clay, this version is dressed in our Honey Caramel glaze, which pools naturally over the wheel-marks to create a glossy, golden-amber finish.

Inside, a clean, clear glaze provides a smooth contrast, making it easy to wipe clean while letting the deep tones of your coffee or tea stand out. Combined with the grounded pedestal silhouette, it turns a simple tea break into a satisfying daily ritual.

A gentle note on our small-batch process: Because I work in very small, intentional batches, there may be times when an item is out of stock; if so, I will happily hand-craft your piece to order, a slow-made process that typically takes between 6 to 8 weeks from the wheel to the kiln.

FAQs

Yes, unless otherwise stated the item is dishwasher safe, however to preserve the finish and help improve the longevity of your pottery, I recommend washing it by hand wherever possible. 

Overtime dishwashers can cause additional wear on ceramics, especially with intricate glazes or decorations.

In particular circumstances where a lower fire clay is used, this is clear in the description of the item and while still may 'survive' a dishwasher it will effect the glaze/colours quicker.

want you to love your ceramics as much as I loved making them. However, I understand that sometimes things don't go as planned.

In the Unlikely Event of Breakages; While I pride myself on my robust, plastic-free packaging, the journey of a ceramic piece can occasionally be a bumpy one. If your item arrives damaged:


  1. Please take a photo of the broken item and the packaging it arrived in immediately.

  2. Email me at nina@ceramicsbynina.com within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and the photos attached.

  3. Replacement or Refund: We will either send out a replacement (subject to availability in our current small-batch stock) or issue a full refund including your original shipping costs.

Please note: As every piece is unique and hand-thrown, replacement items may have slight variations in shape or hand-painted detail compared to the original.

If your order is for a specific date please contact me ahead of ordering and we can arrange a timed and trackable delivery. This will be at an additional cost.
